West Somerset Railway
Our third WSR charter offering for this spring was a recreation of a 1960's period local train on the Welsh Cambrian system when the BR Standard 80xxx 2-6-4 tanks had taken over many of the services in that area.
The charter ran with Std tank No. 80136 with 5 Maroon coaches between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard. The morning session was reasonably successful with mainly bright/sunny but hazy skies. The afternoon proved more difficult due to operating issues and the weather was also rather less sunny.
Weather rating 5/10.
