Steam prints for sale

QUALITY STEAM IMAGES AVAILABLE TO BUY AS PRINT ONLY, MOUNTED OR FRAMED.

The galleries of images on these pages are of steam at work on heritage lines and the mainline network around the UK and include a number of past Steam Recreations charters.

The collection is slowly being uploaded to this site and is by no means complete as yet, so keep an eye on the site for updates.

The images can be purchased for personal use or display and can be supplied as print only, mounted or framed in A4, A3, A3+ & A2 sizes (A3+ & A2 currently not available framed by post due to risk of damage in transit, but these can be ordered and collected from us if required) at the prices quoted with each image. Sizes quoted are for the print, note that mount and frame dimensions are larger. A2 mounted prints posted are supplied on a backing sheet of hardboard to prevent bending. Just click on the enlarge image icon to see a larger version and the available sizes/prices etc. UK post & packing is added at the point of purchase. If you are able to collect from our home you can give us a call and the prices are those that you may have seen at shows and fairs we have attended.

Copies of all of these images are available for commercial use or publication in books, magazines etc. If images are required for this type of use please contact us to discuss your requirements. There are thousands more images in the collection, not just those on this site, contact us to discuss your requirements.

The images of past charters can also be viewed from links on the "Past Charters" page where a brief overview of each event can also be seen.

Some feedback from past customers;
Hi Don,
Just to let you know that my daughter was really blown away by the two black and white prints (Kilve and Elterwater) - a truly successful present!
Hope your Christmas was good and that you've been able to get some good shots of the wonderful frosty weather this last week or so - the Quantocks have been amazing.
Wishing you all the best for 2009,

Dear Mr Bishop
Thank you so much for your message. The picture arrived safely yesterday and it is beautiful. I'm sure my friends will love it (and if they don't, then I will keep it !). I really enjoyed seeing your work at Uffculme school and I intend to keep your web address to hand.

Thanks again and best wishes

Hi there,
Just a short note to thank you for the picture purchased today at the Honiton Show. Having unwrapped it and hung it on the wall, it looks even better still. It was really good meeting you and chatting about the common interest of steam.

Thanks again, really appreciate it.

Don,
Picture received in the mail this morning. Many thanks for the very prompt delivery.

Regards, Geoff.

For those interested in the slightly more technical side of the photography, I have been using Canon EOS equipment for some 15 years. Having now gone fully digital I am using both EOS5D and EOS20D bodies together with a range of fixed and zoom lenses. My most favoured focal length for railway shots is around 70 - 85mm. Previous to going digital I was using EOS600 and then EOS5 cameras with Fuji Velvia 50 film uprated to 100 ISO and then push processed.
