Description

This charter sees an opportunity to recreate a classic S&D local train of the early 1950’s with the genuine S&D based 4F No. 44422 on three red/cream coaches so typical of Bath to Templecombe and Bournemouth locals of the period.

The charter will commence at Bishops Lydeard at 08.00hrs and run between there and Williton throughout the day with a lunch break/crew change/water back at Bishops Lydeard. The day will finish around 17.30hrs.

I intend to have the loco train heading north for our photos and to use a number of unusual downhill locations for run-pasts that are not possible with “steam on” on service trains.

Parking is available at Bishops Lydeard and there is also plenty of accommodation available in both Bishops Lydeard itself and Taunton which is just 4 miles away with 3 Premier Inns and a Travelodge available.

Cost for this charter will be £75.00 per head.

Blea Tarn, Little Langdale in the Lake District on a still autumn morning. I positioned the foreground rocks to keep the reflection of the Langdale Pikes clear in the tarn. Had to wait a while for the light, as is so often the case! #bleatarn #lakedistrict #lakedistrictnationalpark #visitlakedistrict #littlelangdale #langdalepikes #reflection #autumn #beautyofbritain #landscapephotography #canon #canonphotography #gallery #galleryimage #prints #leefilters ... I suspect that Llyn Ogwen, Snowdonia is looking much like this now, but of course we can't go and check it out for a while. Hopefully this image will help you to apprecaite our wonderful landscape, without actually going there. Keep safe & well. #llynogwen #snowdonia #snowdonianationalpark #beautyofbritain #scenicviews #visitwales #landscapephotography #canon #canonphotography #leefilters ... See MoreSee Less

Probably the most famous castle in Scotland - Eilean Donan on the road to the Kyle of Lochalsh & Skye. A cloudy morning when I arrived to take this one, but patience paid off and a sunny burst eventually lit up the castle and provided some pleasant lighting to capture the image I had in mind. I can't wait to be able to go back up to Scotland and enjoy the scenery up there. #eileandonancastle #visitscotland #beautyofbritain #landscapephotography #canon #scenicviews #leefilters ...
