I've found time to go out for a few trips to photograph different areas of the west country recently. One visit was down to Dorset and a repeat visit to this nice line of trees at Moor Critchel. After a short wait for the angle to be right, I was able to capture the image with the sun making a starburst through the trees which I felt added a nice dimension to the image and represented late summer/early Autumn in the Dorset countryside. ... Sorting some images this evening and decided to share this one from a stunning charter on the Severn Valley Rly back in November 2014 with Manor No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", here seen approaching Bewdley South Signal Box with an authentic three coach local train and picking up wonderful glint from the low sun as it rose off behind and to the right of the train. It was also a cold and frosty morning as evidenced by the visible grass frost. Great loco with authentic train, semaphore signals, cold air causing a great exhaust and back-lit glint - what more could I ask for?

A peaceful and tranquil scene out on the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury, as we look towards the Tor just after sunrise on a cool autumn morning. I was waiting quietly on the bank of the River Brue to see if the light would change and maybe some late mist form, when I suddenly had to adjust my camera settings quickly as these three Swan's swept majestically by. I quite like the slight softness of the Swan's in the otherwise motionless scene as it represents their speedy passing by in the peaceful setting.
