Windy Post Cross, Merrivale, Dartmoor.
A visit a couple of years back during winter where I waited for sunset to provide the warm light around the cross and nearby stream. I had to choose my spot carefully to get the composition I wanted with the setting sun included just behind the tree and the waterfall in the foreground. Happy with how it worked out.

I visited Ebor Gorge again this morning as the mist and frost looked good for a high viewpoint (in fact at lower levels visibility was very poor!). So here we have a panoramic view with Glastonbury Tor, or the Isle of Avalon in folklore, rising out of the mist in the background with a light mist and frost across the nearer landscape of the River Axe valley being lit by the low sun.

Here's another WSR image to share with you, this is 9F No. 92203 "Black Prince" leaving Bishops Lydeard with a Minehead bound service on 21st March 2010. The plume of steam from the rear is from the banker - Standard tank No. 80104, not really needed of course, but done just because you can. Looking out from the fireman's side of the cab is then owner David Sheppard, who had saved the loco from scrap in the 1960's. He sold the loco on to the North Norfolk Railway a few years later.
