For me the west coast of Scotland is a very special place, wonderful white sand beaches and a restful feel with a wonderful clear quality of light - especially when the sun shines. This is Camusdarach beach, Glenancross between Arisaig and Mallaig with Loch Morar just visible in the background. Can you spot the rainbow? Image captured using my DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone. #camusdarach #glenancross #westcoastscotland #visitscotland #beaches #mountains #capturingbritain #photomasteryclub #landscapephotography #galleryimage #dji #mavic2pro ... I visited the West Highlands of Scotland over the past week, primarily to cover the Jacobite steam service between Fort William and Mallaig. Sadly the weather was rather challenging (more so knowing it was pleasant and sunny back home!) so the trip was abandoned a couple of days early. Nonetheless I did capture a small number of images that are quite acceptable, even if in some cases black & white is by far the better way to present them. There were two trains a day operating with one engine facing west and the other facing east (quite unusual) so shots were at either end of the day when the loco ran smokebox first. The locos were both Black Fives - nos. 45212 and 45407. A couple of the shots were captured using my drone. #Jacobite #Steam #westcoastrailwaycompany #fortwilliam #mallaig #visitscotland #steamphotography #capturingbritain #canon #eos #dji #mavic2pro ... So here I am - waiting for the light again. Some pleasant sunshine earlier was defeated by some thick cloud, but I have a feeling its going to get good before too much longer. Will my patience be repaid? Salcombe, Devon. ... See MoreSee Less
