Here's my first two offerings from two great days photography at the Bluebell Railway earlier this week, courtesy of Jon Bowers, and of course all the staff and volunteers who made it all work for us. As a fellow charter organiser, I felt for Jon, as the weather & light was particularly difficult with just short sunny bursts in between lots of cloud. It is never easy to provide decent shots for the gathered photographers when the conditions are like that, but what you do get can be truly wonderful. I'd also like to thank a number of fellow photographers, you know who you are, who helped me with my kit during the charters, as I was finding it quite difficult at times due to my recent health issues. Thanks guy's. In these two shots we have BR Std 5 No. 73087 "Linette" (actually 73082 "Camelot" in disguise) and rebuilt Bulleid Pacific No. 34059 "Sir Archibold Sinclair" approaching Horsted Keynes early on 7th October. A little tidying up in Photoshop has been done if you can see it. In the second shot the Bulleid is seen leaving Horsted Keynes in late afternoon sunshine on 8th October. #bluebellrailway #sussex #STEAM #steamphotography #HeritageRailway #canon #canonphotography #EOS #leefilters
Arrived at the Bluebell Railway for two days of photo charters, organised by Jon Bowers, with 34059 & 73087. I've not been to this railway for several years, so looking forward to rediscovering it. Already spent a short while in damp conditions just watching trains, with 32424, 34059 and 73087 all working trains. This images was of course from a past visit with two long out of service locos - Std 4 75027 and 9F 92240 climbing Freshfield bank. Fingers crossed for some decent light over the next two days.

A further image from my recent Scotland road trip. This one is of Loch Maree & the mountain known as Slioch in the Wester Ross area of the NW Highlands. It was incredible the difference in autumn colours up there comparted to England, often the case but even more noticeable this year. A few cold nights had brought them on I guess. Some lovely light to greet me on this particular morning after we'd stayed at nearby Kinlochewe for the night. I have posted a similar image before, but in spring lighting, so quite a different result. #lochmaree #Slioch #torridon #westerross #nwhighlands #scotland #scottishhighlands #westernscotland #Autumn #visitscotland #landscapephotography #canon #canonphotography #EOS #leefilters #prints
