Arrived at the Bluebell Railway for two days of photo charters, organised by Jon Bowers, with 34059 & 73087. I've not been to this railway for several years, so looking forward to rediscovering it. Already spent a short while in damp conditions just watching trains, with 32424, 34059 and 73087 all working trains. ![]()
This images was of course from a past visit with two long out of service locos - Std 4 75027 and 9F 92240 climbing Freshfield bank. ![]()

A further image from my recent Scotland road trip. This one is of Loch Maree & the mountain known as Slioch in the Wester Ross area of the NW Highlands. It was incredible the difference in autumn colours up there comparted to England, often the case but even more noticeable this year. A few cold nights had brought them on I guess. Some lovely light to greet me on this particular morning after we'd stayed at nearby Kinlochewe for the night. I have posted a similar image before, but in spring lighting, so quite a different result. ![]()

I'm just back from a wonderful trip to Scotland, the weather was great (apologies to those in southern England last week!) and I managed to combine some rest with landscape photography. Using our Motorhome does afford some great places to stay over and wake up to, and one such was here at wonderfully named Melon Udrigle in the Wester Ross area of NW Scotland. This view shows the lovely white sand beach with the mountains of Coigach in the background across the strip of water that leads into Ullapool. ![]()

My railway friends on here maybe surprised to hear that I didn't once cover the Jacobite steam trains, although I did see them several times and it was sunny.
