A little reminder that we are open from tomorrow, Saturday 2nd December, in the Orchard Shopping Centre, Taunton for our annual pre-Christmas display of mounted and framed prints, ideal Christmas presents or as a present to yourselves for your own home or office. This year we have a number of bargain framed pictures available as a result of having surplus stock following the closure of our gallery. We are open between 9am and 5pm daily (10am to 4pm on Sundays) until Christmas Eve. ![]()
The attached image features Burrow Mump on a frosty morning during some flooding of the Somerset Levels, and will be on display and available to purchase at Taunton. ![]()

Well that is that then! The gallery closed today for the last time, as we embark on our fresh approach to supplying our customers with pictures. As mentioned before we'll be doing shows, events and exhibitions and improving the online offering. Now for the dismantling process, though to be honest quite a bit has already been achieved towards this. Its going to seem quite strange not having the gallery after 10 yrs, but I don't think we'll really notice it too much until spring, as first we have our annual display in the Orchard Shopping Centre, Taunton and then we would normally be closed for the winter, but by spring when we don't re-open the gallery it will seem strange at first I think. Looking forward to the new challenges though. ![]()
A sunset seems the most appropriate type of image, so this is Burnham-on-sea lower lighthouse, very much a local location for me, a little before sunset, with some great reflections of the clouds in the puddles on the beach. ![]()

For the final few days of our Cheddar gallery we have a limited number of bargain priced pictures, including some large A2 (70x50cm), that we would like to clear rather than put them into store. If you are close by we are open between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday (and can also be available on Monday this week if required). The gallery closes after this on Weds 22nd Nov. ![]()
We also have a small fridge and a portable Calor gas heater available, again if you are fairly near by and wish to visit to see these items. Make us an offer. ![]()
